Welcome to Abbeyfields Farm.

The Stables at Abbeyfields Farm is an exclusive livery yard located in the grounds of the historic Newstead Abbey Park & Gardens.
Newstead Abbey is the former home of the world famous poet Lord Byron. Abbeyfields is in a secluded, prestigious location within the Abbey grounds, & offer extensive off road hacking in delightful countryside in and around the Abbey. We offer five star horse care with a tailor made livery service to suit both you and your horse.
We also welcome short stay / bed & breakfast / holiday livery for your horses if you wanted to take a holiday without the worry of there care wile you are away. There is also accommodation to let at the farm house if you wanted to bring your horse on holiday to Nottinghamshire.

We are a fun and friendly yard and try and get together once a week through the summer months for activities with (and sometimes without!) our horses. We do clear round show jumping, we have a BBQ & ride, a Trec competition, and try to do a little something for everyone to have a go at......and have been known to throw a few surprises along the way. .....Our secret outdoor cinema turned out an amazing evening & definitely surprised a few!

Newstead Abbey is full of history so there's plenty to see and do here. The Abbey gardens are superb, accompanied by a tea room & gift shop. Parts of the Abbey are open to the public viewing. The Gardener's cottage, situated just behind the Abbey has just had a makeover and is now available as a holiday cottage.

Beyond the Abbey boundaries lie the thick of Sherwood Forest, ancient woodland, once home of the notorious Robin Hood & his merry men. With easy access to Thieves Wood, along the old Great North Road and The Hutt at only a stone's throw away, Newstead Abbey is surrounded by fascinating history from long ago.
